ADASwift User Guide
What you see when you sign in, what each screen does, and where every number comes from. Every screen named here is one you can open in the product.
1. Getting started
Signing in
Your account is created for the email address you registered with. Sign in at app.adaswift.com/login using that address and the password from your welcome email — the system generates the password and emails it to you. If that email cannot be sent, the signup page says so and offers a Choose your password now box instead of leaving you waiting: it sets the password you will sign in with, and it works once, for the session the signup just created.
Forgot your password?
Use Forgot your password? on the sign-in page (app.adaswift.com/forgot-password). Enter your email address and a reset code is emailed to you — then enter that code on app.adaswift.com/reset-password to choose a new password.
One account, one monitored website
An account monitors one website (its domain). If you manage websites for other people — an agency or a multi-brand business — you sign in to the agency console instead, where each of those websites is a client. See 6. The agency console.
2. Your dashboard
After signing in you land on app.adaswift.com/dashboard/. The header carries the console navigation — Dashboard, 🔌 Integrations, 🏷️ Email Branding, 👤 Profile and Sign Out — and the page below is built from these cards:
- Account header — your business name, the company line, the monitored domain (a link to your site) and the widget status badge (on or off).
- ADA Compliance Widget — how many pages are being scanned (pages scanned against your plan's allowance) and your website's embed snippet, with a Copy button.
- Scan Reports — your scans, newest first: date, domain, score, errors, warnings, notices and improvement, each row with a View button that opens the full report. Beside the heading is Run a scan now: it queues a scan of the site you saved above and the report appears in this table when it finishes (a few minutes). One scan runs at a time — pressing again while one is queued, or within ten minutes of a finished scan, tells you so instead of stacking work. If a scan cannot run — the address does not resolve, or the site refuses the scanner — a red line above this table says so, with the reason and the date of that attempt. It clears as soon as a scan of the site completes.
- Scan Settings — monthly scan (on/off), last scan, last scan score and the total number of scans.
- ⬆ Upgrade Plan — the plans on offer. The plan this workspace is already on is marked ✓ Current plan; every other plan carries an Upgrade button that starts checkout with the payment provider.
- Billing History — your checkout sessions: date, provider, item, amount and status. A payment is confirmed when the payment provider reports it back to ADASwift, which is why a session can briefly show as pending.
3. The accessibility widget
The ADASwift widget adds an accessibility toolbar to the pages of your website, so visitors can adjust the page to their needs without you changing your markup.
Where your embed snippet lives
Your snippet is shown on the dashboard, in the ADA Compliance Widget card (app.adaswift.com/dashboard/). It is the copy of the embed code held for your domain. Click Copy to take it.
Installing it
- Copy the snippet from the ADA Compliance Widget card.
- Hand it to whoever maintains your website, or paste it into the site's HTML yourself — the card's
own wording puts it in the site's
<head>. - Save and publish the page. It is a one-time paste; there is nothing to install on a server.
Customising the widget
Widget settings are per website and live in the agency console: Clients → the row's ⋯ menu → ⚙️ Config Widget. The editor's tabs are Embed, General, Button, Modes, Readable, Visual and Orientation. From there you set whether the widget is active, the domain it answers for, the profiles you expose, and the individual tools:
- Profiles — Epilepsy Safe, Cognitive Disability (dyslexia, autism, CVA), ADHD Friendly, Blindness Mode (screen-reader oriented) and Visually Impaired.
- Tools — content scaling, readable font, dyslexia-friendly font, highlight titles, highlight links, text magnifier, font sizing, line height, letter spacing and text alignment.
The same ⚙️ Config Widget action sits on every row of Clients.
What the widget does and does not do
4. Scans & reports
The monthly scan
Your website is scanned automatically once a month, on the 3rd — your welcome email and each report email state that date — and the report is emailed to the address on your account. You do not need to trigger it.
Running a scan on demand
The agency console can scan on demand: Clients → the row's ⋯ menu → 🔍 Run Scan. The result appears in Scan Reports, which is also where the dashboard's report table is fed from.
Getting a report by email again
Every row in Scan reports on your dashboard carries an email button — Email me this when that report has not been emailed to you, Re-email when it has. It sends the report to the address on your account and tells you what the server answered: if the mail service refuses, its own sentence appears instead of a fake "sent". An account whose address is a reserved test address is told plainly that nothing was sent.
Reading a report
Each row is one scan of one domain. The View button opens the full report. The columns mean:
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Score | The scan's overall accessibility score. |
| Errors | WCAG violations that block access — missing alt text, unlabeled form fields, empty links. Fix these first. |
| Warnings | Probable problems worth reviewing — low contrast, suspicious link text, missing headings. |
| Notices | Lower-priority suggestions, such as redundant links. |
| Change since last scan | How this scan compares with the previous scan for the same site — “+6 points better”, “no change”, or “first scan” while there is nothing earlier to compare against. |
What the report itself shows
The report opens as one card per scanned page, addressed by its URL. Inside, every finding is one line with a severity badge — Error, Warning or Notice, in that order — the rule it broke in plain words, a How to fix line saying what to change on your site, the CSS selector of the element that broke it (Where), and a snippet of the markup that was found (Found). A page the scanner could not reach says so in words instead of showing an empty list.
How to fix is written for the person who owns the site, not for a developer: it names the change to make (“give every meaningful image a short description in its alt attribute”) rather than the name of the accessibility rule. A Rule details link beside it opens the full technical definition when whoever maintains your site wants it. A rule with no plain-English guidance yet shows the finding without the line rather than guessing.
Download the list (CSV) beside Detailed Results saves every finding on every page as a seven-column spreadsheet — page, severity, rule, message, how to fix, selector, context — so you can hand the whole list to whoever maintains the site. The screen shows the first 200 findings per page; the file carries all of them.
5. Integrations
Open 🔌 Integrations in the dashboard header (app.adaswift.com/dashboard/).
- CoreSwift CRM — the CRM every lead your ADA scans capture can become a scored contact in. The card links straight to coreswiftcrm.com.
- Your own providers (BYOK) — connect a provider with your own key; keys are stored against your account and are not shared. A connected provider shows Update and Disconnect, a Test connection action where the provider supports it, and (for CoreSwift) a send a test lead button so you can see the hand-off land.
6. The agency console
If you manage websites for clients, you work in the console at admin.adaswift.com. Its navigation, left to right, is:
7. Your profile
👤 Profile in the console header opens your own account. Nothing on this screen changes what your clients see or what gets scanned — it is your details, the address you sign in with, and your password.
Picture, name, company and username
- Profile picture — Upload picture takes a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP up to 2 MB and shows it in the console header beside your name. Remove picture puts the initials back. There is one picture per account, so a new upload replaces the old one instead of piling up.
- Full name — the name in the console header and in everything ADASwift sends you.
- Company — optional. Leave it blank, or clear it, when there is nothing to show.
- Username — optional short handle for your account; clear it to remove it.
Press Save profile. The screen confirms when the change has been stored, and a refusal appears in place with its reason.
Moving your sign-in address
The Sign-in email card shows the address you sign in with. Enter a new one and press Send confirmation link: the confirmation goes to the NEW address, and your current address keeps working until that link is opened — a typo cannot lock you out.
Changing your password
The Change Password card asks for the new password (at least 8 characters) and your current one, so a borrowed session cannot lock you out of your own account.
8. Plans & billing
Your plan sets how many pages are scanned each month. The plans on offer are:
| Plan | Price | Pages scanned | Subdomains |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 / month | 5 | none |
| Pro | $49 / month | 100 | 3 |
| Enterprise | $199 / month | 500 | unlimited |
The Your plan card on the dashboard puts those ceilings beside what this workspace already holds — businesses on file, and tags. A figure that has reached the plan's own limit is marked plan limit reached, with one sentence saying nothing already saved is lost and pointing at the Upgrade Plan card, so you find out before the app refuses your next entry.
Upgrading
Use the ⬆ Upgrade Plan card on the dashboard: pick the plan and click Upgrade. Checkout is hosted by the configured payment provider, and the session is then listed in Billing History with its status.
If self-serve checkout is not open on this workspace yet, that same press tells you nothing was charged and offers Request the <plan> plan. One press files the request with our team, who make the switch for you. The 📬 Your plan requests card below the plans lists every request this workspace has filed and the state it is in — Waiting on our team, In progress, Resolved or Closed — so you can follow it without asking. No card is asked for on that path. The moment the request is filed you get a receipt by email that names what you asked for, so you have a record of it; it says plainly that nothing has been charged.
A request our team has not acted on yet can be taken back: press Withdraw on its row in the 📬 Your plan requests card and confirm. Nothing was charged, so nothing is refunded — the ask leaves the card and you can file it again at any time. The button is offered only while the plan is still off this workspace and the request is neither Resolved nor Closed; once our team has answered, that row is the record of it.
Usage
The ADA Compliance Widget card shows pages scanned against your allowance, so you can see when a site is approaching its plan's limit before the next monthly scan.
9. Emails you receive
- Welcome — sent when the account is created: your sign-in details, your plan and the scanning schedule.
- Widget ready — the embed code for a website, so it can be handed to whoever maintains the site.
- Monthly ADA compliance report — after each automatic scan, with that domain's score and findings.
- Password reset — sent only when you request a reset link.
- Payment received — confirmation after a checkout is paid.
- We have your request — the receipt for a plan request you filed from the dashboard: your own words for the request, that a person answers by email, where to follow its status, and that nothing was charged.
Put your own brand on those emails
Every email above is transactional and is sent for your account, so your account can brand it. Open 🏷️ Email Branding in the console header and set:
- Logo — upload a PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP up to 2 MB (there is also a Remove button once one is set).
- Brand display name — up to 60 characters, shown above the message.
- Brand colour — a hex colour such as
#4f46e5, used for the rule under your logo.
Press Save branding. From then on every transactional email for this account opens with your logo and name. Leave all three blank and the mail keeps the ADASwift look — branding is per account, so nothing changes until you set it.
The pane also shows the actual email your account sends — not a drawing of it. It is the message your sender builds from the branding you have saved: the subject line, then the logo, display name and colour rule exactly as a recipient opens them. Press Save branding (or upload or remove a logo) and the pane re-reads the message, so what you see is what leaves the building. Refresh re-reads it on demand; nothing is mailed and nothing is stored by the preview.
10. FAQ
How often is my site scanned?
Automatically once a month, on the 3rd. The agency console can also run a scan on demand (🔍 Run Scan).
Where do I get the widget's embed code?
Dashboard → ADA Compliance Widget → Copy. The console can also email it to a client for you (📧 Email Widget).
Can I choose my password?
No — accounts are created with a generated password that is emailed to you. You can request a fresh reset link at any time from the sign-in page.
Does the widget make my site ADA compliant?
No. The widget gives visitors tools to adapt your pages. Compliance still depends on fixing the source issues your scan reports find.
How do I scan more pages?
Move to a larger plan from the ⬆ Upgrade Plan card. The plan sets the pages scanned each month.
A scan failed or a score looks wrong — what now?
Re-run the scan from the console (🔍 Run Scan) so the domain is scanned fresh, and send us the domain and the scan date if it still looks off.
11. Support
Email support@adaswift.com or reach us on Telegram at @dayday143. Including the domain and (for scan questions) the scan date lets us answer in one reply.
12. Tag to free account
This is the switch that makes the affiliate tag system actually create accounts. When an affiliate tags a lead with one of this app's tags — for example “ADASwift — Free” — ADASwift is told to create a free account for that lead, using the same name and email the lead was captured with in FunnelSwift. ADASwift then emails the new user their login details automatically, so the lead can sign in and upgrade here whenever they are ready.
Where the switch is
In this console, in the settings where integrations are configured. The setting is called
provision_from_tags_enabled.
What happens when it is ON
- A tagged lead gets a real account here on the free plan — not just a contact record
- The new user is emailed their login details by ADASwift
- Tagging the same lead twice does not create a duplicate account — the second attempt is recognised by email and ignored
What happens when it is OFF
The tagged lead is still recorded here as a contact, so nothing is lost, but no account is created and no login email is sent. Use this if you want to review leads before accounts exist for them.
Why it works this way
FunnelSwift is the hub where affiliates and leads live. Tagging is how a lead is routed to the software they are interested in. The account is created here, in the destination app, so the lead signs in at the app they actually want — and upgrades on this app's own plans and pricing.
